"Start Here" Campfire Improvements
Mitchell Dong
For those communities that have open/rolling memberships, having the "Start Here" campfire at the top makes sense, but for fixed/cohort-based communities, it would be nice to be able to change its position.
Since it occupies valuable space (at the top of the list), it would be nice to either:
A. Allow admins to archive or temporarily hide the Start Here campfire.
B. Allow it to automatically re-order like the other campfires once all videos have been viewed.
C. Allow admins to set a time limit for how long it is pinned at the top for new users.
D. Allow admins to remove select members from that campfire manually.
Small note:
Would you be able to update the default emoji, so it isn't the 🏚️(Derelict House)? Maybe just the 🏠 (House) or ⭐ (Star).
Also, allowing space admins (not just owners) to edit the Start Here campfire would be nice too!
This is related to this idea and could be rolled out alongside it:

I also had trouble with the Start Here video playing every time someone joins the space, so I added a short video of just a welcome image instead. Then I recorded the welcome video in the next post.
I would like to have more control over whether or not it stays in place. I do find it useful for new members and wouldn't want to lose it completely.
I could definitely use the ability to put a custom link in that top territory to go the main website. I'll post this separately.

For my event, I've created a Space for speakers.
If selected as a speaker, they are directed to the default link to join the space
On this page, the user sees the video that I used in the "Start Here" campfire.
When they log in, the first thing they see is "Start Here" and the same video plays.
Is there
- A way to set a separate welcome video to the Space
-or-
- Show that video as already played when they log in so that they can go to the second video/card in the thread.

Great suggestion, Mitchell Dong!

I LOVE all of Mitchell Dong suggestions as we struggle with ALL these issues as well. Once everyone is in, it doesn't serve a purpose anymore, so it's in PRIME real estate.
