Notifications: More granular control
in progress

I was wondering if it's possible for users to turn off notifications to some spaces and keep them on for others? I hope this wouldn't affect seeing the red dot on new posts in each hub, just the emails and push notifications. Also would be a nice option for individual hubs as your comment says. I love all the admin options!

We've now released the first part of this (requested by Shai). As the Space admin, you can control when members receive notifications at either the Space level or for a specific Hub:

Would there be interest in an email digest going out to users, say once a week or daily instead of instant email notifications?

Yes, definitely. I think some would like to leave it up to users to decide for themselves how often they want notifications. If that isn't possible then amon should be able to select it.

Gavin HammarThis sounds useful. Not sure how it would affect asynchronous conversations if this was the only option. It would be nice to be able to select for individual campfires.

planned
We have been receiving more interest in this idea, so it's being planned. Please add any other thoughts related to this idea as we look to build it out.

Gavin Hammar looking forward to this. You could also consider the option to receive notifications immediately, daily or weekly. Many forums or communities have this option. No reason to reinvent the wheel :-)

Merged in a post:
Enable notifications ONLY for NEW posts from ADMINS

We would love for members to have the option to choose to receive only notifications for new posts from us (admins). Having notifications on for all new posts can be perceived as a complete overload for members, however, they don't want to miss any important updates/announcements.

Great idea, thanks for sharing. We have had requests for more granular notifications so we'll consider this idea as part of that.
